Been watching you a while now, and you have come so far. Don't sell yourself short. What an amazing golfer you have become. Keep collabing with other yt golfers and take on their advice to better your own game. Please go back to this course in the spring/summer and see the difference between then and now.
Great playing. Soooo impressed by your golf game now. I watched some of your earliest attempts at playing and just amazed at how quickly you've gotten to your present level.
Fun and entertaining video, Mia, Thanks. I've enjoyed your golf journey since seeing you begin on the Rick Shiels channel only a couple of years ago. You don't realize how well you are doing. To play 6500 in the rain, no roll, on a 79.8 rating course and should +14 is unbelievably good at your stage. That's probably about an 8 handicap performance. Given that you haven't been playing that long and that you are only supposed (statistically) to play to your handicap about 20% of the time, I expect you can be a 5 handicap player in no time at all. Your long game is already there. A little bit of course management and some putting improvement will take you to a level most people will never have the talent for. Congratulations. Putting and short game instruction / practice are in order. You can be as good as you'd like to achieve.
Mia, you are a delight to listen to and I am sure that you'd be a joy to share a round of golf with. You are always under control, never to high nor too low. Like water off of a ducks back, you go with the flow and find the positive in most every shot. I watched you play all 18 holes and time just flew by. Thank you for sharing. #simplyamazing
I have to say Mia that was a great round of golf, considering you don't know the course, the weather conditions and the fact that it is the hardest course for women, you can be very proud of yourself, you have a wonderful rhythmic swing and you are a pleasure to watch, oh and you hadn't played for two weeks due to ILL HEALTH. Well played.
Tough course, winter conditions, new clubs equals a pretty good round! Swing looks great, so any given day you will break into single digits! Golf takes a lot of work! Love your channel
Really interested in seeing your WITB as you hit similar distances to myself (although you're a much better golfer than me), so it's much more relatable than some of the guys who are bombing 300+ drives. Hoping you'll show us shaft specs (weight, flex etc) as well as lofts. You played really well considering the weather and difficulty of the course.
So, if that's one of the hardest courses, then you can probably expect some 8-10+ rounds, and even some lower rounds coming up. If you do that for the next few months, then your handicap could be an 8 or 9, which considering the amount of time you've been playing (relatively short, considering), you should be ecstatic with your handicap level!! You have one of the best attitudes on YT for a golfer, always so positive, even when the shots aren't what you wanted! I always enjoy watching your content. Thank you!
Take a look at where the head of the club is pointing 10.49sec Mia. The balls line is almost spot on to where your club head is aiming. The practice swings are important Mia. They give you feedback for rythm and to make sure the club head is square at address and the toe of the club head is pointing to the sky and at the target where you want the ball to land with exception to the slope of the green. You need to land the ball at least 2/3's of the total distance to the pin which will give the ball a 1/3 to pitch and run on. Your ball direction looks alot better than those slice jobs you hit quite frequently. Good luck and love the content.
I have been following you now for a while such nice progress nice and steady you’re my new favorite online golfer. oh by the way I’ve been following you in that blue Honda. Hahaha
Another entertaining vlog of you and your happy self. Always positive and accepting of how you play. Keep up the good work and sorry to hear you’ve been poorly 😮👍👌🙏
Well played Mia considering the conditions and first time playing this course. Look forward to watching how your game will improve during the course of this series.
Nice round of golf Mia! One tip, when you enter scores for an R & A or USGA handicap you enter the tee box you played. Make sure you play the same tee box the whole round so you'll get an accurate handicap.
at least for USGA handicap scores, unless it's changed for 2024, you are required to play with other golfers when playing rounds to establish a handicap, I've not seen any exceptions for "filming my round" or "I'm a RUclipsr". , while you're no longer required to obtain the signatures of the other players, it's believed that there's still a pace of play discrepancy when you are playing alone that distorts your scores, this is why on the PGA tour when there is an odd number of players, and the others are playing twosomes, a local member or rules official, will play with the odd competitor as a placeholder.
It took a long time for me to take putting seriously, except when playing mini-golf.🙂 Time on the practice green (if you have time to do it) always clips a few strokes off the card. Except for getting tired toward the end, looks like being ill may have improved your performance.🙂 Your iron game was remarkably straight. In a year, you'll be ready to participate in tournaments at this rate of improvement. Impressive. Always like the tee in the hair.
Mia, your temperament for golf is impressive. A lot of those putts and shots would have had me annoyed to the point where I would be swearing to the point where it would ruin the rest of my round. A good watch.
You have a really solid game Mia. Towards the end of the round it looked like your alignment strayed a bit to the right off the tee but not easy in those conditions. Winter golf is hard! 😊
Enjoyed this video. If that's your first true round playing a new set of clubs, you did quite well. It takes a good five rounds or more to get dialed in.
Great round, I thought you said +14 would be ok considering circumstances. I’m not a good golfer by any means, but-suggest you ask Ollie to look at your alignment, and course management is a bit off. When greens are damp, hit straight at the hole, that’s my thought. Keep up the great work
You said you were playing off the purples but you played off red on some, yellow on others and a white at one point. Are the purples like winter tees or something? I'm only on hole 13 at time of writing but so far, you've played great! Edit: I see you've answered the previous question in another comment. Just got done, technically taking a drop on 17th invalidates the score for the handicap, the rule would be to go back to the tee to play your third shot. I wouldn't call someone out on it in a round playing with them but since there's video evidence here, that might be a problem.
You caught me with your intro saying it was 65,000 yards, that's quite impressive! I think you meant 6,500 yards, LOL. Now to view the rest of the video.
I have friends that are members at Notts (Hollinwell), it’s such a great course. The strange thing is they don’t actually have any Lady Members, the Ladies section rent/lease use of the course from Notts. Brilliant course which is always in superb condition. You should score well off your 4 handicap 😉 give it another go when the heather is up, it is such a serious test then 🤪 As an aside, Mel Reid used to be attached there…probably too difficult for her too😉
You should play Painswick which is meant to be the "easiest" golf course in England. It is near Gloucester, absolutely pretty at the top, but it is very quirky..
love all the different coloured tee markers. you are such a good golfer and you tuber, you really should spend some time and learn the rules of golf and the world handicap system.
Great visuals in all sense..you said it in the beginning..iv got the pace of these greens i should putt well! Your putting was #£×h..otherwise you'd of scored well..hit it 😄
If you lost your tee shot on the 17th your playing three back at the tee. Not trying to be a smart Alec, you’ll just need to do it correctly if you are aiming for a true handicap.
The purple course at hollinwell aren’t a specific tee box, so they are the tee boxes with purple strips so some holes are off the white tees some are reds some are yellows etc.
You should NEVER 3-putt from 30’, and in. Also, you have to hole more of those putts inside of 10’. My goal is to have less than 30 putts per round. That’s 7 1-putts, and zero 3-putts. It’s very doable, because a lot of those will be short putts, trying to get up n down for par. Putting strokes literally makes up almost half of your total score. And, it’s the easiest thing to get good at. Never be nonchalant with putting. It’s the great eraser!
You hit the ball great. Score could have been improved if your pace on the greens was a bit better. (At least 5 or 6 shots better if a few had been cozied up to the hole ?) Very well played imo.
You may be too tough on yourself. After the first few holes, your missed first putts were close enough to virtually eliminate the dreaded three-putt. Well done.
Been watching you a while now, and you have come so far. Don't sell yourself short. What an amazing golfer you have become. You’ve gotten so much better since the first time I saw you play on Rick Shiels’ channel. Gives me hope for my own game. Keep up the good work!
Course looks lovely. Well played in those conditions, game looks good. Love your positivity, makes for good watching 👍🏻
Tough course, winter conditions, new clubs equals a pretty good round! Swing looks great, so any given day you will break into single digits! Golf takes a lot of work! Love your channel
I love the solo videos Mia! 🪷🤍

for just coming back from illness, you look in great shape. Your game is coming along nicely. Faster than most
That was a great practice round. So good. Also very informative to the viewers, because of your commentary.
I have been following you now for a while such nice progress nice and steady you’re my new favorite online golfer. oh by the way I’ve been following you in that blue Honda. Hahaha

Great video. I live in Nottingham and wasn’t aware of this course. Defo added to my list for next year 👍🏻
Your golf has come on by leaps and bounds swing looks so much better than a few months ago single figures this time next year
Well played Mia considering the conditions and first time playing this course. Look forward to watching how your game will improve during the course of this series.
65,000 yards !!!
No wonder it is the toughest course 😁
Love the different colour grips ❤

Person filming has a golf handicap perhaps .
Can tell you’ve been putting in the work 👏🏻🔝
Great set of pins btw 👌🏻
Golf game is looking great Mia! Thanks for sharing your journey.

Excellent round considering everything. We'll done. Your my kind of golfer, happy go lucky. Wish I could have the same mentality 😊
Well played Mia, Hollinwell is one of my favourite courses
Mid 80s score on that course is very good. Nice round Mia!
Good to see you enjoying Hollinwell! If you ever fancy making up a 4, let us know!
Fantastic Mia, your improvement is impressive, great vid thanks!
Great golf swing, really enjoy watching your videos. Cheers from Canada
You have a really solid game Mia. Towards the end of the round it looked like your alignment strayed a bit to the right off the tee but not easy in those conditions. Winter golf is hard! 😊
Great content. Believe in yourself. You are better than you think you are and a joy to watch. Keep the videos coming.
Mia what a awesome awesome cool flippin smashing video it is. Love it
Great golf Mia! Looking forward to the next game❤️👍
Yay! More golf content! Good luck on the handicap journey, your progress so far has been amazing! Sure you'll be pretty low!
Enjoyed this video. If that's your first true round playing a new set of clubs, you did quite well. It takes a good five rounds or more to get dialed in.
Stunning old course, played it many times, well chosen!!!
OMG! 0:16 65,000 yards!! 😮 That's a real beast, is it a par 720?😝(sorry, I just couldn't resist 🤣 Great video, thanks Mia!
😂😂
Great watching you Mia. Weather looks rotten but you did do well. Keep up the good work. 🌹
You are very impressive for a new golfer! so positive too! What's your workout routine?? You are so fit!!!
Looove the green grips on your P790's. Those are pretty nice. (Planning to get a set of 790's in 2024 myself). Enjoyed the video, by the way! 🙂
Your game has just gone from strength to strength over this last year… great to see 👏🏼👏🏼
Mia, your game is miles better now compared to just a few months ago. You could shave off a lot of shots just by working on putting. Well done!
65000 yards so funny .. love the channel your ace but that tickled me 😂
You have improved so much mia ,, well done,, 👍
I used to play on this course in 2001, nice to see it again 😀
Really want to play that course. Looks great.
Great round, I thought you said +14 would be ok considering circumstances.
I’m not a good golfer by any means, but-suggest you ask Ollie to look at your alignment, and course management is a bit off.

One of my favourite courses and I always seem to play well when I play there. Well done Mia ❤
That’s amazing!!

Although you didn't have the best round, your game has improved massively
What range finder are you using? Don’t have one currently, and looking for some recommendations
3.4 differential?! What an amazing score with which to START tracking your handicap!
Wow! Mia with the draw out of the Bunker 🤘
You caught me with your intro saying it was 65,000 yards, that's quite impressive! I think you meant 6,500 yards, LOL. Now to view the rest of the video.
You really go your mojo back with the Driver in this round Well Done Mia...
I have friends that are members at Notts (Hollinwell), it’s such a great course.

What did you use for a shot tracer at 12:57?
You should play Painswick which is meant to be the "easiest" golf course in England. It is near Gloucester, absolutely pretty at the top, but it is very quirky..
I'd say 65000 yards is pretty long on any tour!
Wished my golf game was even a fraction as good as yours. Cheers.
love all the different coloured tee markers. you are such a good golfer and you tuber, you really should spend some time and learn the rules of golf and the world handicap system.
0:15 - SIXTY FIVE THOUSAND YARDS!! about 60 kilometers!! I'd say that's the hardest golf course in the universe regardless of gender LOL🤣😂🤣😂
Hey Mia B! Which shot tracer app are you using?
65,000 yards is REALLY long
She did say it is the hardest course. I'm 24 seconds into the video and already expecting driver off the deck into the par 3's.
65,000 yards is 9 times further than Bethpage Black..One of the hardest courses in the men's game. I think she meant 6,500 yards
Mia, I wouldn’t even want to try this. 65000 yard is also sooo hard even for the PGA tour players.
That's what she said!
Haha, sry, couldn't help it.
Such a great video. It was lovely. I feel like we just played 18 together. Nice round for a young golfer.
Really good round especially since you hadn’t played in a while and also coming off an illness and a hard course
A lot better than what I can do. good game
65000 yards - pitch and putt for men
Great visuals in all sense..you said it in the beginning..iv got the pace of these greens i should putt well! Your putting was #£×h..otherwise you'd of scored well..hit it 😄
Your game is improving very nicely. How about you and Rick Shiels vs Charley Hull and Guy in a scramble format?
So inspiring
mine is macrowilly.
I know it's tuff with schedules and all but another Golf with Girls vid would be nice.
Off the yellows! Impressive how far you hit it. You’re probs at worst a 5 hcp, I’m guessing.
65’000 yards? Thats bloody hard! Lol
Must be a Par 720!! 🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂 that’s actually hilarious - sorry about that guys 😂 you know what I meant haha
In my home town Mia!
If you lost your tee shot on the 17th your playing three back at the tee. Not trying to be a smart Alec, you’ll just need to do it correctly if you are aiming for a true handicap.
I really hope it wasn't 65000 yards..on the green for 11 for a par 14
37 miles that's gota be the longest golf course in the world!!😂😂
mia u are doing so well but if u start the round of the reds u need to play the whole round from the reds😂
65 thousand yards!!!!!!
On you Iron play keep the club face open all the way to the side of the ball. Swing straight to the flag.
You played the 12th off the red tees
The purple course at hollinwell aren’t a specific tee box, so they are the tee boxes with purple strips so some holes are off the white tees some are reds some are yellows etc.
@@miaellaxmight want to pin this comment as it confused me as well 😅 Driving was on 🔥

65,000 yards!? That means on average each hole is over 3,500 yards… that is long! 😂
She's a youtuber... not a mathematician!! Haha.
I recall she mentioned she actually is a mathematician!
😂😂😂 hahaha lol how I graduated in maths is clearly beyond me based on this video 😂
You played that 65k yard course well Mia 🤪
You may be too tough on yourself. After the first few holes, your missed first putts were close enough to virtually eliminate the dreaded three-putt. Well done.
get Gabby Golf Girl on your channel
You are a fantastic young lady and I really enjoy your videos
When you go through your bag to show your new golf clubs. What kind of adidas golf shoes.
65K yards is long even by men standards! 😅😂
Because it is ENGLAND... 11:54 😂
65,000 yards. Jesus, that is long.
